Katie Ormerod

Katie Ormerod is one of the most exciting young female slopestyle riders on the scene today. Her progressive rail tricks and large bag of kicker tricks are the envy of many experienced riders.

Katie began snowboarding at the tender age of 5 and quickly fell in love with the sport. In 2014, Katie became the first woman to land a backside double cork 1080. The trick has been a staple in men’s slopestyle for 4-5 years, but had never been landed by a female rider. Katie was also one of the first female riders to land a straight double backflip on a park kicker.

In 2018, she represented Great Britain in the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. Unfortunately, she injured her heel the day before the games and had to forfeit.

In 2020, she became the first Briton to win a World Cup snowboard title.
